About Chicura

Chicura - a Danish design brand.

“One can make a difference for many but with help, the difference can hit countless”

The hand on the heart we love to create and be creative but at the same time we have been quite ambivalent about it, wanting to start a fire. Creating products for an already product full world doesn't exactly make us cheer. In addition, we love simplicity because we have noticed ourselves how simplicity has a positive impact on life in general, so how should we justify mass production. Furthermore, we strive for presence and not least time with those we love and could you at all with your own business - yes it succeeds.

But how could we solve the issues so that we could be motivated and allow ourselves to create. Create a universe that we ourselves love to be in and that does not give a bad taste in the mouth in the end.

We cannot stop that man will acquire things the races through life, nor ourselves but we can be proved around it and try to create a brand where the consumer at the same moment of buying a product has a positive impact on Earth , rather than none. And as the years have passed, we have also become more proved that the products we sell must, somehow, enrich people's everyday lives. So raise the quality of life, just as our name suggests. Whatever it is a smile on the lip, a better inner feeling, a moment's presence or just a better conscience as a consumer in this world.

We can't help but have products that are just created because we think they are great to use and look at and also be captivated by. However, we still make sure that the consumer can contribute a positive impact no matter what product they choose from us as we races plant trees and it has gradually become thousands. Furthermore, we have products made of residual wood. Something that others opt out of design production. We want to help move to the normal on that front and the products are just as fine anyway. In addition, we also have a number of products that have been created in order for them to be used for more than just one thing. We love when design products are multifunctional and thus we can settle for fewer things. Simplicity gives us peace of mind.

Our goal is that over time most of our range will be something that benefits more than a blue eyes as we believe that the combination of beautiful Danish design as well as respect for nature, animals and future generations is the only way forward.

Today, our range consists of different living products. Figures, vases, shelves, hooks etc. as well as a wide range of frames and posters.

Our products are created in mind the following:

  • A sustainable production
  • Recycled materials & Deselected residual wood.
  • 100% animal -friendly products.
  • To give back (One Tree Planted, Land of Hope).

The time up to Chicura's start

The founders of Chicura, Charlotte Harbo Lavian and Daniel Lunding Lavian merged the pellets together in March 2010, work well. In addition to working partners, they have also formed couples in private since 2007. The idea of independent life was in high priority for both of them, so they quickly agreed that it should be tried.

Daniel and Charlotte each come from two very different backgrounds that make them stand strong together. Daniel has the financial and strategic business background. After his education, he has played a major role in several growth companies.

Charlotte is from the more creative, visual industry and before 2010 has been employed in various larger photography houses. Since then she has worked independently as a photographer and image therapist.

In 2010, they founded the Photographer House CH Touch where Charlotte worked full time from the start. Over time, Daniel spent more and more time in the company and eventually had to drop his regular job to follow a common dream. It turned into a healthy company with its own photo studio, first at Amager, then in Herlev. Here there was room for employees. They were behind pictures for larger Danish and international brands. But after working with various brands for a number of years, the dream grew.

Suddenly, the CH Touch became the springboard for a new adventure that became Chicura and which Daniel and Charlotte started working on the parallions.

Here they started with photo art as they had already created a perfect breeding ground for this and over time Chicura has become much more.
